Exercise 1: Presenting Your Body of WorkYou are to independently create a showcase of your research and practical work in a coherent and professionally appropriate way. You will articulate your creative ideas and critical thinking using suitable communication methods to a defined audience within a defined contextual framework. You will complete and present a final presentation of carefully selected work, together with an introduction and an evaluation of your project. This presentation of a body of work should cover the unit learning outcomes, as listed in the course introduction, and set up a clear direction that you can pursue in your next course unit.Digital PresentationProduce a digital presentation documenting a selection of final outcomes from the unit. Depending on your discipline and working methods, the format and character of the portfolio will be specific to you and should be a professional representation of your practice. You may choose to create an audio/visual video presentation, use Google Slides or PowerPoint or any other platform that you feel comfortable with (just ensure to check against the accepted file types on OCA Learn Assignments). What platforms can you share your presentation on? Instagram, blog, websites and/or LinkedIn? Can you share with friends and family? Local community groups? Can you use it to apply for opportunities, competitions, exhibitions etc?
MY PRESENTATION
To make my stories eligible for embedding on my blog’s page, I created a YouTube account, where I uploaded my work and then linked it to my blog.
I have created two video presentations: the first one is the ‘’Urban Jungle”.
and the second one is the ‘’The Mid-Autumn Festival Story.
My presentation regarding my work before the last assignment is another experiment I would like to see the outcome of. To be more precise, I made my final adjustments to my ‘Mid Autumn Tale,’ and then, while creating a video of it, I came across some interesting ideas that the app I was working on (Clips on my iPad) offered. I could add music and use effects to represent my story. A very interesting one was the option to convert photos into a comic book while I could keep the original as it was. Using that option, I created two videos using a music theme that I find engaging.
The outcome is exciting. I love the new animated clip, as it offers me a different perspective of my story by reimagining the scenery, making it look like a part of a different universe, distanced from the one I took the pictures of, making it new even to me who was the one who captured the original.
